Next step is to unzip the file to a location of your choice, just put it where you usually install programs.
The program needs to be kept running in the background to work, so I suggest you put it in the autostart folder so it starts up with windows.
Next you need to configure your browser to make it use Proxomitron as the proxy. Follow the instructions below for a couple of different browsers:
Firebird (the browser you should be using!)
Tools -> Options -> Connection -> Check "Manual proxy configuration" -> Under "HTTP proxy" put in "localhost" and under "Port" put in 8080.
Internet Explorer (6) (the browser you shouldn't be using!)
Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections
Depending on your connection type you will either press the "LAN settings" button or choose the connection you're currently using and press "Settings". Check the box that says "Use proxy server...", enter "localhost" as the adress and 8080 as the port.
If you haven't started Proxomitron yet, go ahead and do so. You should now be up and running!
Now to add the filters on this page I use the following method. Open up the "default.cfg"-file in the directory where Proxomitron is located in a text editor.
Scroll down to the end of the file, on the very last line you should see something like "[Proxies] OpenLog = TRUE", insert your filters right above that entry and save the file.
Next open up Proxomitron by clicking on its icon on your task bar, when it's open hit "ctrl + r" to reload the config file. You should now be set to go. Go to genmay and see if you can see any changes.
Sorry linux users but sadly Proxomitron isn't available for that platform, however I'm convinced that there's something even better available to you already :) Same goes for Mac users aswell unfortunately.
